Friends Don’t Let Friends Hire Their Friends Jeff Hyman, Forbes  Balancing relationships in and outside of the workplace can be a difficult juggling act; however, when a friend is hired in the workplace, that makes the juggling even more difficult.  This new co-worker who is seen as an emotional confidant outside of work, might receive office favoritism and act as a person to confide in.  Northwestern Business School professor Jeff Hyman believes that mixing friendships and work isn’t the best practice, but gives several steps/things to consider if you are going to hire a friend.     read more
